1978-80 Bobcats |
Keith Strieter, a native of Michigan, starred with the Brandon University Bobcats for three years, 1978-80 and 1982-83. He came to the Bobcats via the University of PEI. In 1978-79, he led GPAC (Great Plains Athletic Conference) in scoring, averaging 20.8 points per game, and that same year was second in rebounding. He was selected as an All-Canadian in 1978-79 and was a three-time GPAC All-Star. In addition, he led the Bobcats to the CIAU/CIS national championship final in 1979-80. Keith was a true power forward who played the game with an intensity seldom matched. Knee problems did slow him down, but they never prevented him from giving his all on the court.
