BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW: The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame announced the class of athletes, builders, and one team that will be inducted November 3, 2018, at the 39th annual induction ceremony presented by Manitoba Liquor Marts at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg.
This year’s individual recipients in the Athlete category include: a decorated blind Paralympic swimmer, the all-time WHA leader in goalie games played, wins and playoff wins, a seven-time national speed skating champion, a two-time World curling champion, and an international basketball phenom.
The Builder category is made up of a former president of the Canadian Handball Association and a boxing official who’s a judge, jury member, and technical delegate and official for the International Boxing Association.
The only Manitoba ladies golf team to win the Canadian Ladies Amateur Team title rounds out this year’s slate of inductees.
