 A referee during the 1930's, Pud was acknowledged as the outstanding official in Western Canada during the 1930's. Unobtrusive on the court, but decisive; not dictatorial, he controlled but did not dominate the game. He always communicated his decisions to players in a firm, but friendly manner. Pud set the standard for younger officials to emulate.  | ||
