A graduate of St. John's High School, Dick was an impact player with
the Winnipeg "Stellars" that won the Canadian Junior Men's
Championships in 1950 and 1951. He continued playing in the senior
league until the mid-sixties, winning the Leagues M.V.P. Award in 1954.
During that time, Dick was a member of several provincial championship
teams.
