A graduate of Kelvin High School, Al honed his skills in church
basketball to become one of the finest scoring guards in Canada. As a
member of the Winnipeg "Toilers", Al played on six Senior "A"
Provincial Championship Teams, leading them to three Canadian
Championships in 1926, 1927, and 1932.
