Organized by young women who were members of the Brandon YMCA, the "Queens" were the only senior ladies team in Brandon from 1946 into the late 50's, when it disbanded. To find competition the team had to travel to Winnipeg, Regina, Moose Jaw, and Lakehead. They scheduled their own games, raised their own money, and designed and made their uniforms.
