A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Keith came to Brandon University in 1991 and was selected the CIS/CIAU Rookie of the Year. In his five years with the Bobcats, he was a CIS/CIAU All-Canadian three times and a GPAC All-Star every year. He was the Mike Moser Trophy winner as the National Player-of-the-Year in 1994-95 and the Most Valuable Player in the 1996 CIS National Tournament where he led the Bobcats to the national championship. He also played for Canada’s National Teams (Senior and Junior) from 1989-97 and professionally with the Winnipeg Cyclone and in Iceland, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, and Portugal.
