A graduate of Sisler High School, Ken played for the University of
Manitoba "Bisons" from 1959 thru 1962. While playing for the "Bison",
he also played for the I.P.A.C. "Buffaloes" in the Junior and Senior
leagues. During that time, Ken was a perennial All-Star.
In 1962, Ken was a member of Canada's National team that
competed in the Philippines Invitational Tournament, losing to the
Americans in the final game. In 1963, he played for the Lethbridge
"Nationals" who won the Canadian Championship. In that year, he was
selected to play in both the Pan American Games in Sao Paulo, Brazil
and the World Basketball Championships in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
