A graduate of Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, Jack went on to play for St.
Andrews from 1933 thru 1948 (except in 1943, '44, '45, and '46 when he
served in the RCAF), first in the junior league, then in the senior
league. A complete player, he was equally effective on offence and
defence. He was the league's top scorer in 1941. Nicknamed the
"Galloping Ghost", Jack was one of the first in Winnipeg to use the
hook shot.
